While active and independent at age fifty-five, aging into one&#8217;s eighties and nineties often requires some assistance with daily living activities. Assisted living residences have evolved out of the desire to be as independent for as long as one can.</p>
<p>In the healthcare industry activities of daily living (ADLs), such as being able to drive, use the telephone, make meals, and maintain personal hygiene, are used as a measure of an adult&#8217;s ability to live independently. If a person needs help in one or more of these activities, choosing a home that provides this aid may be the answer.</p>
<p>A healthcare provider should conduct an evaluation of any limitations of daily activities. Knowing how much help an individual needs is the first step to finding the right residence. Some assisted living communities are set up to provide very basic services, like making meals, assisting with shopping needs, and providing help with transportation. Other communities will provide basic care at the start, yet have the ability to add services depending on a person&#8217;s future needs.</p>

<p>During pregnancy your nutrition needs are going to increase. Even before becoming pregnant it is a good idea to make every effort to start eating healthy and taking a women&rsquo;s multivitamin. A prenatal multivitamin is a better choice during pregnancy. </p>
<p>Let&rsquo;s start with the recommended daily intake of food during pregnancy.</p>
<p><b>DURING PREGNANCY :</b></p>
<p><b>7 or more Fruits and Vegetables</b> (3 fruits/4 vegetables)<br />
<br />Fruits and Vegetables high in vitamin C are the best. These include strawberries, melons, oranges, papaya, tomatoes, peppers, greens, and broccoli.</p>
<p><b>9 or more Whole Grain Products</b><br />
<br />A fortified breakfast cereal containing iron and folic acid is the best way to start each day. Enriched bread, rice, pasta, and any whole grain product are your other choices.</p>
<p><b>4 or more dairy products</b><br />
<br />Low-fat milk or non-fat milk, yogurt, and cheese are the obvious choices. </p>
<p><b>60 grams of protein</b> (two or more 2-3 ounce portions of lean meat)<br />
<br />Other sources of protein include eggs, nuts, dried beans, and peas. <b><i>Do not eat undercooked or uncooked meat or fish. (NO SUSHI) Do not eat deli luncheon meats</i></b></p>

<p>Calorie intake should only be increased by 300 a day during pregnancy for the average woman.Weight gain should be around 28-40 pounds for women that are underweight at pregnancy.Women that are overweight at pregnancy should gain only 15-25 pounds.Weight gain should be around 2-4 pounds the first trimester and 3-4 pounds a month for the remaining time.Excess weight gain is hard to lose after pregnancy because your body&rsquo;s fat increases up to one third during pregnancy.Breast feeding burns 500 or more calories per day making it easier to lose weight.Consult your health care provider for your specific healthy weight gain.</p>
<p><b>Vitamins and Minerals</b></p>
<p>Check the RDA chart for your needs during pregnancy.</p>
<p><b>Folic Acid</b> is a special concern because a deficiency can lead to neural tube birth defects. Your multivitamin should contain 400 mcg of folic acid. Birth defects happen before you even know you&rsquo;re pregnant so always take a multivitamin with folic acid during child bearing age.</p>
<p><b>Vitamin C</b> taken in doses over 500 mg/d can lead to your baby being born dependent on large quantities of vitamin C.</p>
<p><b>Iron</b> is also of special concern because the average American diet does not provide enough iron during pregnancy. If your prenatal multivitamin does not contain enough iron your doctor will prescribe an additional supplement. Iron is needed for you and the baby to have healthy teeth, bones, and blood.</p>
<p><b>Water</b> is often overlooked during pregnancy but it is vital for you and your baby. It carries the nutrients from your body to the baby and it helps prevent constipation, hemorrhoids, swelling and urinary tract infection. A minimum of 6 eight ounce glasses a day is required. Juice can count toward your 6 glasses but be careful of the added calories. Any drink containing caffeine actually reduces the fluid in your body and cannot count towards your 6 glasses.</p>
<p><b>Calcium</b> is needed by you and the baby for strong teeth and bones. During pregnancy you need 1,000 mg/d and 1,300 mg/d if you are less than 18 years old.</p>
<p><b>Alcohol Consumption</b></p>
<p>There is no safe time or amount of alcohol to consume during pregnancy. No alcohol is the only way to insure the health of your baby. Alcohol you drink goes to your baby through the umbilical cord. Alcohol affects the baby&rsquo;s growth, the baby&rsquo;s brain, and can cause birth defects. These effects will remain with your unborn child for his/her entire life. FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) is the name given to anyone affected by their mother&rsquo;s alcohol consumption during pregnancy. Problems learning, memory retention, and hearing are just a few things that alcohol can do to your child. </p>
<p><b>Caffeine</b></p>
<p>Caffeine in large quantities can lead to low weight babies. It also reduces the amount of vital water in your body. Although not yet proven, some studies suggest that it may harm the fetus. While not as dangerous as alcohol it should still be avoided.</p>
<p><b>Diabetics</b></p>
<p>Diabetics can have perfectly normal babies like every other woman. There are a just a few things you need to be careful of. </p>
<p>1. Keep your blood sugar under control for a minimum of 3 months before becoming pregnant. </p>
<p>2. Make sure you get enough folic acid at all times during your child bearing years (400 mcg/d). </p>
<p>3. Don&rsquo;t let your blood sugar get too high during pregnancy. This can lead to birth defects or your baby having blood sugar level problems </p>
<p><b>Ways To Control Morning Sickness</b></p>

<p>Every living cell on this planet depends on minerals for proper function and structure. Minerals are needed for the proper composition of body fluids, the formation of blood and bone, the maintenance of healthy nerve function, and the regulation of muscle tone, including that of the muscles of the cardiovascular system. Like vitamins, minerals function as coenzymes, enabling the body to perform its functions, including energy production, growth, and healing. Because all enzyme activities involve minerals, minerals are essential for the proper utilization of vitamins and other nutrients.</p>
<p>The human body, as all of nature, must maintain its proper chemical balance. This balance depends on the levels of different minerals in the body and especially the ratios of certain mineral levels to one another. The level of each mineral in the body has an effect on every other, so if one is out of balance, all mineral levels are affected. If not corrected, this can start a chain reaction of imbalances that leads to illness.</p>
<p>Minerals are naturally occurring elements found in the earth. Rock formations are made up of mineral salts. Rock and stone are gradually broken down into tiny fragments by erosion, a process that can take literally millions of years.</p>
<p>The resulting dust and sand accumulate, forming the basis of soil. The soil is teeming with microbes that utilize these tiny crystals of mineral salts, which are then passed from the soil to plants. Herbivorous animals eat the plants. We obtain these minerals by consuming plants or herbivorous animals.</p>
<p>Nutritionally, minerals belong to two groups: bulk minerals (also called macrominerals) and trace minerals (microminerals).</p>
<p>Bulk minerals include calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and phosphorus. These are needed in larger amounts than trace minerals. Although only minute quantities of trace minerals are needed, they are nevertheless important for good health. Trace minerals include boron, chromium, copper, germanium, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, silicon, sulfur, vanadium, and zinc.</p>
<p>Because minerals are stored primarily in the body&#8217;s bone and muscle tissue, it is possible to develop mineral toxicity if extremely large quantities are consumed. Such situations are rare, however, because toxic levels of minerals generally accumulate only if massive amounts are ingested for a prolonged period of time.</p>
<p>As with vitamins, it can be difficult, if not impossible, to obtain the amounts of minerals needed for optimum health through diet alone. Mineral supplements can help you to make sure you are getting all the minerals your body requires.</p>
<p>Minerals are often found in multivitamin formulas. Minerals also are sold as single supplements. These are available in tablet, capsule, powder, and liquid forms. Some are available in chilled form, which means that the minerals are bonded to protein molecules that transport them to the bloodstream and enhance their absorption. When mineral supplements are taken with a meal, they are usually automatically chilled in the stomach during digestion. There is some controversy over which mineral supplements are best, but we prefer the chilled preparations. Our experience with the various chilled formulas available has shown that, in general, arginate forms of minerals make the most effective supplements.</p>
<p>Once a mineral is absorbed, it must be carried by the blood to the cells and then transported across the cell membranes in a form that can be utilized by the cells. After minerals enter the body, they compete with one another for absorption. For example, too much zinc can deplete the body of copper; excessive calcium intake can affect magnesium absorption (and vice versa). Consequently, supplemental minerals should always be taken in balanced amounts. Otherwise, they will not be effective and may even be harmful. The absorption of minerals can also be affected by the use of fiber supplements. Fiber decreases the body&#8217;s absorption of minerals. Therefore, supplemental fiber and minerals should be taken at different times.</p>

<p>We all want to be respected in whatever occupation we choose to practice, and people who choose sports jobs are no exception. Well, if you seem to have mastered the ins and outs of a certain sport (or maybe a lot of sports), then you just might be qualified to become a sports instructor.</p>
<p>Why become a sports instructor?</p>
<p>People who opt to teach sports-related classes enjoy a certain amount of prestige and respect that other sports jobs may not command. This is because even people who become professional athletes turn to sports instructors at times when they want to fine-tune certain skills. For example, a tennis pro may seek a sports instructor to help her improve her backhand swing, or score killer aces with her serve. A golf pro might ask a sports instructor to identify problem areas in his game, such as awkward putting habits that just kill the athlete&rsquo;s chances at a tourney win.</p>
<p>If you want to become a sports instructor, the first requirement is that you love the sport (or sports) you have chosen to devote your career teaching about. If it is tennis that you love, then be a tennis instructor. If golf makes you high, then teach golf. If you dislike the sport you want to practice in, then that is counter-productive, don&rsquo;t you think?</p>
<p>The second requirement is that you should have adequate training from a respected institution. The apple does not fall far from the tree, as the proverb goes, so if you are recognized as a sports instructor by a respected training institution, the odds are greater that you will get the same level of respect when you start applying for positions as sports jobs instructor.</p>
<p>Types of Positions Available</p>
<p>A good sports instructor can easily find work at such sports jobs all around the US, if you look hard enough.</p>
<p>1. You could opt to teach in schools. All schools (from the elementary to university levels) require sports teachers because all schools have some sort of physical education program established. To become a schoolteacher, you will have to like children and youngsters as a rule. And you have to enjoy imparting your knowledge to these young people, who may become future sports athletes in the future with the right training.</p>
<p>2. A unique type of schoolteacher is one who introduces new sports to the children. For example, one website advertises a position for a sports instructor who will teach Middle Schools about Street Surfing, a new form of skateboarding. If you have an adventurous streak, this might be for you.</p>
<p>3. You could also work in gyms and community centers. Gyms are always a good idea because more and more people are shifting to a fitness-oriented lifestyle, thus fostering demand for sports instructors. Community centers may not show the same demand but are also good places to inquire into.</p>
<p>4. You might seek employment at private country clubs. This is where many perks and benefits can be gained, because the clientele have the money to spend for your compensation.</p>
<p>5. Act as private consultant for professional athletes &ndash; This is also where sports jobs like teaching sports skills are well compensated though they are harder to get into.</p>
<p>So if you want to try getting a job as a sports instructor, these are just some of your options. Keep your eyes open and you might land the best job you ever had soon.</p>

How a really attractive person, if you don&#8217;t like them, can become more and more ugly; whereas someone you might not have even have noticed&#8230; that you wouldn&#8217;t look at more than once, if you love them, can become the most beautiful thing you&#8217;ve ever seen?&rdquo; </p>
<p>This is true because real beauty glows from within and is a matter of perception. You do not need to spend a great amount of money for beauty products or artificial procedures to make you look good: it all comes from within. </p>

<p>Since the 60s, smoking women has continued to grow: the proportion of smokers rose from 10 to 22% in 40 years on the 15 million smokers in USA. The women smoke more and more and earlier. The first cigarette is usually taken between 14 and 16 years. Cigarette smoke passes from the lungs to the brain within 10 seconds, carrying so much faster than would intravenous injection of illicit drugs. Smoking cigarette send some 4 000 chemicals to the body.</p>
<p>Tobacco and gynecological disorders</p>
<p>Smoking decreases the secretion of estrogen. It may therefore be responsible for menstrual disorders with irregularities and pain. There is also often a change of tone of voice, which becomes hoarse, and an increase of hairs. Menopause occurs 1 to 2 years earlier than average among smokers. Hot flashes are more intense and the risk of osteoporosis is increased. Tobacco also promotes the development of precancerous lesions of the cervix.</p>
<p>Tobacco and skin</p>
<p>Due to a lack of oxygenation of the skin, smokers are more often dull complexion and &#8220;clouded&#8221;. The cellular exchanges have slowed and the waste is not eliminated. The skin loose his radiance and elasticity. Wrinkles appear prematurely, with 10 to 20 years ahead, especially at the lips. Smoking stimulates the production of free radicals that damage the elastin and collagen.</p>
<p>Tobacco and pill</p>
<p>35% of women aged 20 to 44 years who take contraceptive smoke, increasing from 4 to 10 times the risk of cardiovascular problems. Combining a contraceptive with cigarettes is a major health hazard, especially past 35 years. Indeed, nicotine promotes deposition of fat in the blood vessels and damages arteries. Smoking increases by 3 the risk of miscarriage, and by 2 ectopic pregnancies and premature births. There is also stunted fetus that is not well oxygenated. Its weight is generally lower than 200 g at birth. In addition, smokers lactating produce 25% less milk than non-smokers.</p>
<p>Tobacco and weight</p>
<p>Smoking reduce the taste and smell. In addition, nicotine stimulates the nervous system that causes a cut-hunger, slows the storage of fat in adipocytes and artificially increases energy expenditure to 200 calories per day compared to non-smoker. The smokers have a weight lower than they would if they do not smoke (around 4 kg). So when you stop smoking, you just go back to your normal weight. No need to worry! However physical activity is still recommended to stabilize the weight. If you start to gain to much weight, try to eat better by cutting in the fat and salt.</p>
<p>It may be a good idea to consult a dietetist to help stabilize your weight while you stop smoking. Consulting a dietetist is a sure way to establish a healthy and balanced diet. Using dangerous product like laxative and purgative are dangerous and not the solution to long lasting weight loss!</p>

<p>Vitamins are essential to life. They contribute to good health by regulating the metabolism and assisting the biochemical processes that release energy from digested food. They are considered micronutrients because the body needs them in relatively small amounts compared with nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and water.</p>
<p>Enzymes are essential chemicals that are the foundation of human bodily functions. They are catalysts (activators) in the chemical reactions that are continually taking place within the body. As coenzymes, vitamins work with enzymes, thereby allowing all the activities that occur within the body to be carried out as they should. Whole, fresh raw foods are a good source of enzymes.</p>
<p>Of the major vitamins, some are soluble in water and others in oil. Water-soluble vitamins must be taken into the body daily, as they cannot be stored and are excreted within four hours to one day. These include vitamin C and the B-complex vitamins. Oil-soluble vitamins can be stored for longer periods of time in the body&#8217;s fatty tissue and the liver. These include vitamins A, D, E, and K. Both types of vitamin are needed by the body for proper functioning.</p>
<p>RDA Vs. RDI Vs. ODI</p>
<p>Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) were instituted more than forty years ago by the National Academy of Sciences U.S. Food and Nutrition Board as a standard for the daily amounts of vitamins needed by a healthy person. These RDAs were the basis for the U.S. Recommended Daily Allowances (U.S. RDAs) adopted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The provisions of the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act and the Dietary Supplement Act of 1992 required a change in food product labeling to use a new reference term, Daily Value (DV), which began to appear on FDA-regulated product labels in 1994. DVs are made up of two sets of references: Daily Reference Values (DRVs) and Reference Daily Intakes (RDIs).</p>
<p>DRVs are a set of dietary references that apply to fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, carbohydrate, protein, fiber, sodium, and potassium. RDIs are a set of dietary references based on the Recommended Dietary Allowances for essential vitamins and minerals and, in selected groups, protein. The term RDI replaces U.S. RDA.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the amounts of these nutrients defined by the Recommended Dietary Allowances give us only the<br />
<br />bare minimum required to ward off vitamin deficiency diseases such as beriberi, rickets, scurvy, and night blindness. What they do not account for are the amounts needed to maintain maximum health, rather than borderline health.</p>
<p>Scientific studies have shown that taking dosages of vitamins above the RDIs helps our bodies work better. The RDIs therefore are not very useful for determining what our intake of different vitamins should be. We prefer to speak in terms of optimum daily intakes (ODIs) the amounts of nutrients needed for vibrant good health. This entails consuming larger amounts of vitamins than the RDIs. The nutrient doses recommended on page 9 are ODIs. By providing our bodies with an optimum daily amount of necessary vitamins, we can enhance our health. The dosages outlined in this book will enable you to design a vitamin program that is custom-tailored for the individual.</p>
<p>Balance and Synergy</p>
<p>Having the proper balance of vitamins and minerals is very important. Scientific research has proved that excesses of isolated vitamins or minerals can produce the same symptoms as deficiencies of vitamins or minerals.</p>
<p>For example, high doses of isolated B vitamins have been shown to cause the depletion of other B vitamins. Similarly, if zinc is taken in excess, symptoms of zinc deficiency can result. Studies have shown that an intake of up to 100 milligrams of zinc daily enhances immune function, but an amount in excess of 100 milligrams daily may actually harm immune function.</p>
<p>Synergy is a phenomenon whereby two or more vitamins combine to create a stronger vitamin function than the sum of their individual effects would suggest. For example, in order for bioflavonoid to work properly (they prevent bruising and bleeding gums), they must be taken along with vitamin C. Recent studies show that bioflavonoid also may be a big factor in preventing cancer and many other diseases.</p>
<p>In addition, certain substances can block the absorption and effects of vitamins. For example, the absorption of vitamin C is greatly reduced by antibiotic drugs, so a person taking antibiotics requires a higher than normal intake of this vitamin.</p>
<p>Synthetic Versus Natural</p>
<p>Ideally, all of us would get all of the nutrients we need for optimal health from fresh, healthful foods. In reality, however, this is often difficult, if not impossible. In our chemically polluted and stress-filled world, our nutritional requirements have been increasing, but the number of calories we require has been decreasing, as our general level of physical activity has declined. This means we are faced with needing somehow to get more nutrients from less food. At the same time, many of our foods are depleted of certain nutrients. Modern farming practices have resulted in soils that are lacking in selenium and other nutrients.</p>
<p>Harvesting and shipping practices are dictated not by nutritional considerations but by marketing demands. Add to this extensive processing, improper storage, and other factors, and it is little wonder that many of the foods that reach our tables cannot meet our nutritional needs. Getting even the RDIs of vitamins from today&#8217;s diet has become quite hard to do. This means that for optimum health, it is necessary to take nutrients in supplement form.</p>
<p>Vitamin supplements can be divided into two groups synthetic and natural. Synthetic vitamins are produced in laboratories from isolated chemicals that mirror their counterparts found in nature. Natural vitamins are derived from food sources. Although there are no major chemical differences between a vitamin found in food and one created in a laboratory, synthetic supplements contain the isolated vitamins only, while natural supplements may contain other nutrients not yet discovered. This is because these vitamins are in their natural state. If you are deficient in a particular nutrient, the chemical source will work, but you will not get the benefits of the vitamin as found in whole foods. Supplements that are not labeled natural also may include coal tars, artificial coloring, preservatives, sugars, and starch, as well as other additives. You should beware of such harmful elements.</p>
<p>However, you should also note that a bottle of &#8220;natural&#8221; vitamins might contain vitamins that have not been extracted from a natural food source. It is necessary to read labels carefully to make sure the products you buy contain nutrients from food sources, with none of the artificial additives mentioned above.</p>
<p>Studies have shown that protein-bonded vitamins, as found in natural whole food supplements, are absorbed, utilized, and retained in the tissues better than supplements that are not protein-bonded. Chemical-derived vitamins are not protein-bonded. Vitamins and minerals in food are bonded to proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and bioflavonoid.</p>
<p>Dr. Abram Hoffer, one of the &#8220;founding fathers&#8221; of orthomolecular medicine (a school of medicine that emphasizes the role of nutrition in health), explains:</p>
<p>Components [of food] do not exist free in nature; nature does not lay down pure protein, pure fat, or pure carbohydrates. Their molecules are interlaced in very complex three-dimensional structures, which even now have not been fully described. Intermingled are the essential nutrients such as vitamins and minerals, again not free, but combined in complex molecules.</p>
<p>Using a natural form of vitamins and minerals in nutritional supplements is the objective of the protein-bonding process. Taking supplements with meals helps to assure a supply of other nutrients needed for better assimilation as well.</p>

<p>Over the last several years, some very gifted endurance athletes have gone from famous to infamous after drug tests indicated they took banned substances, and illegal sports supplements, to enhance their performance. These men and women have been stripped of their Olympic gold medals and other prestigious accomplishments, been the subject of countless headlines and have sullied their reputations forever. By seeking an unfair advantage, these endurance athletes have gained the dreaded asterisk next to their names in publications and destroyed any possibility of lucrative endorsement deals for the rest of their lives. Many have gone from the very pinnacle of their sports to ignominy in a very short period, and it seems that with each doping scandal, the list of sports organizations&rsquo; list of banned substances grows longer. Even some drug-free sports supplements are causing problems.</p>
<p>The Sports Supplements Approval Process by the Food and Drug Administration</p>
<p>For a sports supplement to gain approval for sale in the U.S., they must endure the same vetting process as products categorized as &ldquo;dietary supplements.&rdquo; This includes drug-free sports supplements. According to the Dietary Supplemental Health and Education Act (DSHEA) signed into law in 1994, a dietary or sports supplement is a product taken orally that contains a &ldquo;dietary ingredient&rdquo; intended to supplement the diet. As you might guess, DSHEA&rsquo;s definition of what constitutes a sports supplement and a dietary ingredient is quite a bit more detailed. However, under DSHEA, the firm that manufactures a sports supplement is wholly responsible for ensuring their product is safe, and any claims made about their products must be substantiated by adequate evidence showing they are not false or misleading. Unless a sports supplement contains a new dietary ingredient not previously vetted by the FDA, FDA approval is not necessary before they are marketed or sold in the U.S.</p>
<p>Which Sports Organizations Test and Approve Sports Supplements</p>
<p>Professional and elite amateur sports organizations have a vested interest in ensuring that their endurance athletes are not taking banned substances. Billions of dollars in advertising, merchandising and endorsements are at stake. Outfits such as the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, International Olympic Committee (IOC) and countless other professional and amateur organizations require that athletes submit samples for testing at regular intervals. The heavyweight in the banned substances testing business, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), may not be well known to sports fans, but it is the ultimate authority in drug testing in sports.</p>
<p>With offices in Montreal, Canada, and Lausanne, Switzerland the home of the IOC, WADA was created in 1999 &ldquo;to promote, coordinate and monitor the fight against doping in sport in all its forms.&rdquo; The problem is that WADA and the drug-testing wings of all major sports organizations are constantly playing catch-up with the chemists who develop new performance-enhancing substances undetected by the testing protocols of the day. This is the primary reason why Tour de France champions, Olympic gold medalists and other endurance athletes are often stripped of their titles years after their victories.</p>
<p>What to Look for in a Sports Supplement</p>
<p>Whether you&rsquo;re a world-class athlete looking to gain a competitive edge or an amateur athlete seeking the same advantage, an athlete must be certain that the sports supplements included in a training regimen contain no banned substances. This includes drug-free supplements. Endurance athletes who are seeking sports supplements to improve their performance and endurance legally should look for:</p>
<p>ISO/17025 Drug-Free Certification</p>
<p>ISO/17025 is an internationally recognized standard for ensuring the competence and proper calibration of testing laboratories. Laboratories wishing to gain accreditation through their designated accreditation body must meet the rigorous standards of this quality management system.</p>
<p>Sports Supplements made in NSF-certified facilities</p>
<p>The National Safety Foundation (NSF) is the world leader in product certification, education, standards development and risk management for public health and safety. Manufacturing facilities that have earned NSF certification have passed this organization&rsquo;s stringent standards for cleanliness, manufacturing protocols, regulatory compliance and other standards for public health and safety.</p>
<p>WADA approval</p>
<p>Approval by the WADA ensures that all sports supplement, including drug-free, comply with the World Anti-Doping Code, international standards and meets the WADA&rsquo;s stringent models of best practices and guidelines.</p>
<p>Approval by major league sports</p>
<p>Major sports leagues such as the NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL, NCAA and others have billions of dollars at stake in ensuring that their endurance athletes compete on a level playing field. To gain approval by major leagues, a sports supplement must first be vetted by independent testing laboratories that they are drug-free sports supplements.</p>
<p>Over the last three decades, the sports supplement industry has gone from a niche business to an industry that generates over $20 billion in sales annually. Endurance athletes looking for a safe and legal way to build endurance and supplement their diet nutritionally are well-advised to do their homework to ensure that the sports supplement of their choice is not only drug-free, but also in compliance with the sports organizations guidelines. By doing so, they are making sure that their careers do not fall into the black hole of ignominy too soon.</p>
