The quest for beauty is an age-old search that started in ancient times around the cooking fire when certain women’s physical attractiveness outshone the features of others. Appearance has long been prized and won accolades and monetary gain in pageants, movies and TV shows. The common modern standard for it is based on appearance and looks rather than more lasting qualities of character and inner strength.

But the old adages of beauty is not only skin deep and pretty is as pretty does seem to indicate that we as humans should look beyond the pretty face. We should instead look inward to judge the true elegance of the person involved. The inner qualities must be considered and valued in addition to the outward appearance of individuals.

A current modern fascination is with reality shows featuring kids dolled up in pageant fixings. The kids are dressed in beautiful clothes and they are expected to act mannerly and grown up. This expectation does not allow for the children to express what behavioral specialists call age appropriate behavior actions and mannerisms fitting their age and stage in life.

To evoke a persons true potential for attractiveness, it is necessary to include two attributes. One is physical attributes, which are transitory at best, and the second is their inner gifts, which can grow for a lifetime. These lasting qualities should be nurtured and encouraged in young people as they learn to grow and thrive amid the impermanence of daily life.

An individuals self concept of his or her elegance should not be dependent on appearance alone. It should reflect instead an evaluation of inner qualities and feelings such as love, respect and appreciation of others and the natural world. Appreciating the serenity of nature arrayed in glorious color and harmony cannot help but inspire a sense of awe at its glamor.

Music has a quality of elegance all its own. The harmonics of the scale and the talented proficiency of the players make for a sonorous sound which appeals to the musically talented and the tone-deaf alike. The relaxing and invigorating sounds of music have a quality of beauty all their own.

Beauty in the world must be measured by feelings and thoughts; there is no arbitrary measurement for it, despite what others would like us to believe. Whether it is color-based, appearance-based, or amenity-based, it cannot be quantified by a set of general standards. There is no set recipe for it in the world or no pill to be taken to ensure beautiful results.

So how can we ensure that we are beautiful? If wearing the latest makeup or facial product does not do it, what can? Making the most of yourself and taking the best physical care of yourself possible are two ways you can start. Deciding what is beautiful for you and setting a standard for yourself is another way to begin.

The truth about beauty is that there is not just one definition to be achieved world-wide. You have to set your own definition. Then, you must do whatever is in your power to make that happen for your life!

The lack of medication can also lead to flare ups.

Finally, Crohn’s can lead to other medical complications in women such as osteoporosis and colon cancer. Osteoporosis can occur if a woman is being treated for the disease with steroids, and has limited the amount of calcium she puts in her diet, if dairy foods are one of the leading triggers for her Crohn’s symptoms.

Colon cancer is another risk. However, this risk is not limited to women, and is something that every Crohn’s disease sufferer can face. The same can be said about fistulas. Although Enterovaginal is obviously specific to women, the many other fistulas that occur are not. Thus, make sure you talk to your doctor about the factors you are at risk for and discuss all your treatment options.

In a perfect world, children wouldn’t balk at eating a perfectly balanced diet and adults would have the time to create that menu for themselves and the children in their lives. Unfortunately, we live in the real world and perfection is more than a little distance away. So what about those vitamins we need? The alternative to a perfect diet is a regular regimen of vitamin supplements.

Before you grab up the latest, cutest, most expensive or cheapest vitamins you can find, take a minute to evaluate what it is that you expect to accomplish. Start by carefully evaluating your typical daily food intake.

Take a count of the foods you eat over a period of a few days. You may find that you’re getting sufficient amounts of most vitamins simply through your diet. Even a less-than-healthy diet overall may be offset by certain habits – drinking significant quantities of Vitamin D fortified milk, for example. If you typically drink at least two cups of milk each day, you’re probably getting the Vitamin D recommended for a normal, healthy adult.

But what if you realize that you really aren’t getting the vitamins you need? Then it’s time to add a vitamin supplement, but you should be smart about it. For most children and adults who aren’t getting the recommended daily allowances of vitamins, a very general vitamin is probably your best bet. There are plenty of options out there and it really becomes a matter of personal choice. If the kids like some particular brand better than others, that brand is probably fine. What Is Gestational Diabetes?

Gestational diabetes occur only in pregnant women. This diabetes is caused due to disorder in the placenta of the pregnant women. When the pancreas of the women fails to produce extra insulin, the blood sugar level becomes unusually high. This condition is termed as gestational diabetes. It is essential for all future mothers to have a complete knowledge of the link between women and gestational diabetes.

Diagnosis

Gestational diabetes is diagnosed when the woman is about 24-28 weeks pregnant. It is diagnosed by “oral glucose tolerance test” in which the woman is instructed not to eat for 4 to 8 hours. Then her blood sugar level is measured by the medical caretakers.

After checking the normal sugar count, she is given a sugar drink and after 2 hours the sugar level test is redone to assess abnormality in blood sugar level. If the women’s sugar level is below 140 mg/dl then she is certified to be in the safe limit. However, if the sugar count is more than 140 mg/dl, she is diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

Causes

Gestational diabetes is more likely to happen in obese women more than 25years of age and who have following records –

A family record of diabetes or has prior experience of this disease in past pregnancies can lead to gestational diabetes.

Women who delivered an unusually large and healthy baby or a baby born with birth defects in the past can have gestational diabetes.

If the women has excess amount of amniotic fluid, she is prone to gestational diabetes.

Symptoms and risk factors

Symptoms of gestational diabetes can be assessed by the delivery of baby and both the mother child condition-

The blood sugar level of diabetic pregnant women becomes abnormally high.

The fetus that nourishes in this abnormally large amount of sugar level becomes large enough to be delivered by vagina. One needs surgical operation to deliver the baby.

Doctors notice high amount of insulin in the body of the newborn baby. After few days the baby is exposed to the condition of hypoglycemia i.e. low level of blood glucose because the baby is no more influenced with mother’s high sugar level.

Unusual hunger, thirst, weight gain or high blood pressure is sign of gestational diabetes.

Recurrent vaginal infection and excessive urination are signs of gestational diabetes.

Treatments

A planned and balanced diet devoid of sweets is prescribed to the diabetic women to keep the sugar level in the normal range of 60 to 120 mg/dl. The diabetic lady should exercise at least 3 or 4 days a week to maintain the sugar level in the body by burning excess fat. Balanced food and exercises can help in maintaining the normal pregnancy weight gain which is vital for treating gestational diabetes.

In case of severe gestational diabetes, a weekly or daily glucose level test is advised to the diabetic mother. If all these treatments prove ineffective, then insulin injections are recommended by the doctors to control the blood sugar level in the diabetic lady.

Complications

If the disease of gestational diabetes is left untreated or is not properly controlled than the baby can develop certain complications that includes- Macrosomia, jaundice, respiratory distress syndrome, death after 28 weeks of pregnancy or in infancy. Gestational diabetes can occur in future pregnancies as well.

Candida is a microbiological term, an example of simple yeast that lives in all of us; it is present in all our mucus membranes, but if our immune system is functioning correctly the Candida, does us no harm. Candidiasis is caused by the yeast-like fungus Candida Albicans. Candida Albicans is one of the most common human pathogens; it may cause thrush either in the mouth and throat or in the vagina. While this is neither systemic or life threatening it is a nuisance and the problem is aggravated by the fact that few classifications of drugs are effective against fungal infections, and all of them have side effects.

When the immune system has been compromised for instance from too many antibiotics then the result may be a systemic life threatening infection.

Bacteria have many necessary functions in the body.

They supply energy for cells by producing short chain fatty acids.

They inhibit the activity of harmful toxins such as bacteroides and clostridia.

They are needed to synthesise essential nutrients, such as Vitamin K which is necessary for blood coagulation and Vitamin K2 or menaquinone, which is produced by bacteria in the intestines, unless the intestines are damaged. Lack of vitamin K leads to fractures, bleeding and possibly osteoporosis they maintain the bodies Ph, or acid balance.

Seventy percent of our immune system works within the intestines; if the intestines are not healthy we cannot be healthy. We need bacteria as a response to infection.

Within the intestine, they govern chemical reactions, which are essential to metabolism.

The balance in the intestines is fragile but a combination of low immunity and using antibiotics can upset the delicate stability. The body produces acetaldehyde when it breaks down yeasts, and it is a poison, it is ingested either through environmental pollutants such as chemical perfumes or it is produced when the body breaks down alcohol, or the carbohydrates in yeast. As we have established, it is a poison to humans and the following pathways must convert it.

Chemical aldehydes, in the form of ethanol or drinking alcohol, are routinely processed into acetaldehyde which is used in the production of fragrances, such as fragrant toilet paper, deodorants, air fresheners etc., when the aldehydes are present in the body the body uses aldehyde oxidase or aldehyde dehydrogenase to neutralise it.

As the body should be capable of neutralising it, it is only poisonous when it is partially digested. For the process to be completed the body needs to have sufficient levels of glutamine, iron, molybdenum, the riboflavin group and selenium.

Candida converts sugars into ethanol and ethanol is routinely found in over the counter medicines, because it has antiseptic properties. However if the ethanol levels are too high, either because they have entered the body as alcohol, carbohydrates, perfumes or antiseptics then it becomes a poison, an acetaldehyde. If you have adequate amounts of glutamine, selenium, niacin, folic acid, B6, B12, iron, and molybdenum, the aldehydes continue the metabolic process, conversion into acetic acid, which can be excreted, or metabolized further into acetyl coenzyme A and all is well in the gut. However, when these crucial nutrients are in poor supply the aldehydes start building up in the body.

Candida is not the enemy, and to view it as such is misleading. The actual process of digestion is complex and way beyond the paradigms of this article. When we have normal levels of Candida in our bodies and we are fully nourished, Candida furnishes the body with a necessary part of what is known as the “Krebs energy cycle” necessary for the health and maintenance of all cells. When our digestion is unbalanced, we incompletely convert sugars into what are in effect poisons and they stay toxic within our system. When our digestion is balanced, or we give it what it needs in terms of supplements, a potential poison is transformed into a source of energy, or aldehyde poison becomes acetyl coenzyme A.

Candida converts sugars into ethanol and ethanol is routinely found in over the counter medicines, because it has antiseptic properties. As a common ingredient in prescription and over-the-counter medications, it is not bad in itself; it has important properties as a free radical scavenger and antiseptic. Unfortunately as a side effect they alter the delicate ecosystem within the intestines and are potentially storing up trouble. The problem with antibiotics is that they do not target the bad bacteria, because they cannot differentiate, and they wipe out the friendly bacteria as well as the illness they have been prescribed to treat.

With a healthy immune system the body uses the skin, the lungs; the kidney’s and muscles to ward off infection from an intruder.
